Central Beach
The beach, located at 9 Gróf Széchényi Imre Square, with approximately twenty thousand square meters of green area and the capacity to accommodate two thousand people, is a popular spot for locals and vacationers in the area. The beach has a lake connected to it, which has a clean, algae-free waterbed. The water depth at the entrance is 60-70 centimetres, gradually deepening.
Behind the beach building, there is an outdoor stage where cultural events are held throughout the season at the scheduled times on the program. Numerous catering establishments on the beach serve the hungry and thirsty visitors looking to enjoy a day at the beach.
During the high season (June 1st – August 31st):

Entry and ticket information:
Child tickets apply to individuals over 6 years old but under 18 years old.
Family tickets can be issued for up to two adults and three children living at the same address.
The central paid beach is free for children under 6 years, individuals over 80 years, and those with mobility disabilities.
For daily tickets, guests receive a wristband with a unique number that is valid on the day of purchase. The admission system provides all-day access by scanning the code on the wristband.
With season passes, buyers receive a plastic card with a barcode. Please keep it safe for the duration of validity.
Group discounts:
For groups with 30 or more people purchasing daily tickets, a 30% discount is granted.
Other discounts:
Owners of permanent or vacation properties in Balatonmáriafürdő, as well as permanent residents, are eligible for a 60% discount on season passes, provided they have no tax debts towards the municipality. The discounted pass application form is available at the cash register.

Valuables and luggage storage:
A storage system is available at the beach. To use the automated system, a magnetic key must be purchased at the cash register with a deposit. The storage is suitable for smaller valuables such as handbags, phones, wallets, etc.
Luggage storage is suitable for larger items like medium-sized suitcases. Lock keys for the lockers can also be obtained at the cash register.

Pets:
According to the 78/2008. (IV. 3.) Gov. Decree on the quality requirements for natural bathing waters and the designation and operation of natural bathing sites, bringing animals onto the bathing site area – with the exception of guard dogs authorized by the government office or guide dogs – is strictly prohibited.
As per legal regulations, dogs (or other animals) are not allowed on the beach area.

Fishing:
For safety reasons, fishing is strictly prohibited on the beach area during the bathing season, from May 15th to September 15th.
Accessibility, Parking:
The beach is located next to the 7119 side road branching off from the main road number 7 and the Balaton bike trail. Within 800 meters of the beach, there are railway and bus stops, making public transportation options excellent. Cars in the parking lots designated for beach guests should be parked so as not to obstruct traffic and the proper use of the parking areas. The municipality does not provide surveillance for the parking lots; therefore, it is not responsible for vehicles parked there or valuables left inside them.
Bicycles:
For safety reasons, bicycles can only be taken into and placed in the designated bicycle storage areas within the paid beach area. The beach bike storage areas are not guarded, so the municipality is not responsible for bicycles placed there or any valuables left on or in them. Please take care of your belongings!
Lost and Found:
Lost items found on the beach premises should be turned in at the beach cashier’s desk or the town hall. Our staff will ensure that lost items are returned to their owners.
Safe Swimming:
The Lifeguard service operates from June 1st to August 31st. The Hungarian Red Cross Youth First Aid Service operates from June 29th to August 20th.
A storm warning system is active on the beach. Monitoring storm alerts is essential for your safety. Different levels of storm alerts are distinguished based on the strength of the storm. In case of a second-level storm alert, winds exceeding 65 km/h (90 flashes per minute) are expected. Swimming is strictly prohibited during a second-level storm alert!
Children under 6 and children under 14 who can’t swim must be supervised by a parent or another adult while bathing!
Nighttime swimming is strictly prohibited!
Water Quality:
Water quality is regularly tested and rated by the National Public Health and Medical Officer Service (ÁNTSZ). According to the most recent tests, water quality is excellent.
Rating & Awards:
In 2023, Balatonmáriafürdő Central Paid Beach received a 5-star rating in the Blue Wave Flag beach qualification system.
